This "interview" is actually taken from part of one of <a href="http://www.marvel.com" onMouseOver="window.status='Marvel.com'; return true" >Marvel</a>'s online chats in America Online. I have, however, removed everything except intelligent questions relevant to this site and Jason's answers, and re-ordered it somewhat. I have not corrected spelling or grammatical mistakes in order to maintain some of the feel of a chat room. </p><P> <B>Thomkallor:</b> Jason: how did you get your start at <a href="http://www.marvel.com" onMouseOver="window.status='Marvel.com'; return true" >Marvel</a>? </P><P> <B>J. Liebig:</b> Thomkallor: Actually, I started here at my current job. Before that, I freelanced as a writer in NYC for a year. Before that, I worked at DC Comics for 1 1/2 years.</P><P> <B>MarvC Hank:</b> Jason what did you write?</P><P> <B>J. Liebig:</b> Hank: Weeell, some short story stuff for Hearst New Media and a BUNCH of toy packaging for toyBiz</P><P> <B>MarvC Hank:</b> Jason Toy Packaging?? sounds difficult.</P><P> <B>J. Liebig:</b> Toy Packaging is a beast unto itself.</P><P> <B>MarvC Hank:</b> Jason seriously it doesn't sound like fun, was it very difficult?</P><P> <B>J. Liebig:</b> Hank: Toy packaging can be fun... but at times it's like solving math puzzles.</P><P> <B>MsFantstik:</b> Jason: who's you favorite F4 member?</P><P> <B>J. Liebig:</b> My fave FF member is probably <a href="/database/roster/Ben.shtml" onMouseOver="window.status='The Thing'; return true" >Ben</a>.</P><P> <B>S Kleefeld:</b> Jason - How much input DO you have (as opposed to <a href="/commcenter/transcripts/Powers.shtml" onMouseOver="window.status='Mark Powers Chat'; return true" >Powers</a>)?</P><P> <B>J. Liebig:</b> Well, depends on the day Kleefeld. <a href="/commcenter/transcripts/Powers.shtml" onMouseOver="window.status='Mark Powers Chat; return true">Powers</a> was just gone for two weeks, so I was drunk with power (no pun).</P><P> <B>MarvC Hank:</b> Jason how far in advance to plots/scripts get planned.</P><P> <B>J. Liebig:</b> As far as planning, we try to have the next 12 months in our heads VERY loose. And six months on paper in some form.</P><P> <B>Gahannasrc:</b> Jason: are there going to be any major revelations on FF in the next few months?</P><P> <B>J. Liebig:</b> Well, as far as new things we've learned... they wouldn't be revelations if I revealed them here.</P><P> <B>MsFantstik:</b> Is <a href="/database/roster/Reed.shtml" onMouseOver="window.status='Mr. Fantastic'; return true">Reed</a>'s condition going to last long?</P><P> <B>J. Liebig:</b> Fantastik: Can't say yet.</P><P> <B>S Kleefeld:</b> Any chance the FF will get <a href="/database/HQ.shtml" onMouseOver="window.status='Headquarters Database'; return true">4 Freedoms Plaza</a> back? (Even if they don't move in)</P><P> <B>J. Liebig:</b> Marvel 2-n-1... don't know.. I think it's a bit premature for that.</P><P> <B>RAYC163:</b> Please publish the entire FF in a volume set of some kind....</P><P> <B>J. Liebig:</b> Ray: we'll be doing Essential books on the FF this year.</P><P> <B>MsFantstik:</b> Is there any chancxe we'll see anymore F4 one-shots (Besides <a href="/database/roster/Ben.shtml" onMouseOver="window.status='The Thing'; return true">Thing</a> and <a href="/database/roster/Jen.shtml" onMouseOver="window.status='She-Hulk'; return true">She-Hulk</a>) in the future?</P><P> <B>J. Liebig:</b> We'd love to do more FF specials.. Liebig:</b> Doom 2099.. hmm, hadn't thought about it.</P><P> <B>Critic221:</b> Could there be anybody from generation-X gueststarring in ff</P><P> <B>J. Liebig:</b> Gen X guest stars in FF. Well, we're going to attempt to keep the X and FF worlds separate, at least for a little while.</P><P> <B>BokononAOA:</b> Jason- any truth to the rumors that Kitty'll be hooking up with FF in some capacity?</P><P> <B>J. Liebig:</b> At this point Kitty and the FF are only rumors. Probably won't happen.</P><P> <B>Gahannasrc:</b> Will Kitty and Nighty and Colossus be returning to the X-Men after Excalibur is cancelled?</P><P> <B>J. Liebig:</b> Gahan: Yes! The three classics will, indeed, return... but maybe not as you remember them.</P><P> <B>Hulkbnr:</b> Jason how come the ff never age?</P><P> <B>J. Liebig:</b> Well, we try not to age our characters so that they can continue to be around long after we are.</P><P> <B>S Kleefeld:</b> Jason - Will the FF become more proactive than they've been so far? They've been mainly reacting to villains popping up.</P><P> <B>J. Liebig:</b> S Kleefeld: More proactive.. not right away.. they're still 'dealing' with stuff.</P><P> <B>S Kleefeld:</b> Jason - Any space stories (big epic type stuff) in the works?</P><P> <B>J. Liebig:</b> Space stories.. in FF. I'd love to. We'll be talking to Chris about that stuff soon.</P><P> <B>MsFantstik:</b> Jason: Are we going to see any new F4</P><P> <B>J.
