Database: Roster: Storm
Ororo MunroeOroro was born to a Kenyan princess and an African-America photojournalist. The two died when she was very young, the result of a jet fighter crashing into their home. Ororo herself survived, but was buried in the rubble for some time and, to this day, suffers from claustrophobia. As an orphan in Egypt, she was picked up by Achmed el-Gibar, who taught her pick-pocketing, lock-picking, and other thieving skills. As she grew older, she wandered off into the Serengeti and met T'Challa for a brief time. As he went off in search of his father's killer, Ororo remained in the desert as her mutant powers began to manifest. Mastering her powers, she soon became worshipped as a rain goddess by the locals before Professor Charles Xavier recuited her into his X-Men. Originally quiet and reserved, she grew in stength and character, eventually gaining the confidence and trust to lead the X-Men for quite some time. She became nearly as adept at hand-to-hand combat as she is at her mutant abilities, and even defeated Callisto for the right to rule the underground mutant society of Moorlocks. Storm became romantically linked with the mutant Forge after he saved her life. Her relationship with him suffered many ups and downs, before Storm was believed to be killed. Once she was found again, their romance continued its history of rockiness before Forge eventually left the X-Men to become a government contractor. Recently, Storm survived an event that de-powered 98% of the world's mutants and left the X-Men to return to Africa. She rekindled her long-ago romance with the Black Panther and the two recently married before joining the Fantastic Four, during an extended absence by Reed and Susan. Storm's Chronology | ||||||
