The House of Horrors
  • Western Publishing Co. published "The Fantastic Four in The House of Horrors." This was Big Little Book #19 written by William Johnston that had the FF battle Dr. Weird. (I'm not kidding!) Roughly every other page has a four color illustration that was done by Herb Trimpe (although no credit is given and could be mistaken as Jack Kirby). The writing is clearly aimed at a younger crowd.
  • Whitman released a 99 piece jigsaw puzzle featuring a Jack Kirby FF. The finished puzzle measures 10" x 13".

  • Kenner produced a battery operated "Give-a-Show Projector" set. It came with a hand-held projector and 112 color 35mm slides based on popular comic book and cartoon characters. As you can see, each frame contained seven slides, which told a simple story about the characters. The Fantastic Four piece (seen below) was only produced and packaged with the projector itself. It measures 1" by 10".
