Multimedia: Video Game CheatsSo you've found one of the few video games that the FF have appeared in. You start the game up, play for five minutes and get killed. Restart. Play for five minutes. Restart. You get the idea. Some of us aren't as dextrous as others and video game manufacturers know that. To compensate, they usually add two or three levels of difficulty to a game, so you can adjust the challenge it poses. They also have been known to add a little programming that allows you to essentially break into the game's coding and alter how it is played. This often manifests itself as invulnerability, unlimited power, or something along those lines. That's where this page comes in. I hope to document all of the hints, tips and tricks to the FF's video games. If you know of some that I haven't documented here, please let me know. QuestProbe by Adventure International. I already have a page up containing game hints (originally written by David Lodge). They have been coded so you can't accidentally read too much at once. I found them very helpful, but I would like to add one thing that had be stumped (even with the hints) for a while: put the cannon down before you shoot it. The Fantastic Four by Acclaim for Sony PlayStation. There are several built-in options that are generally unavailable. These include character invincibility, level skip, character size modification (called "Big Boy"), and free play. This can be accessed by going to the Options menu. Place your cursor over the Training Mode bar and press all four left and right buttons. If done correctly, you will be given the four options mentioned above. (Thanks to Caroline Smith for providing these.) Also there is a product plug-in called GameShark (I believe this attaches to the back of your PSX) for this game system that allows you more felxibility for hacking into games' coding. You can crack into most games with this plug-in, but here I've only included the cheat codes for the FF game.
Spider-Man starring the Fantastic Four by Acclaim for Sega Genesis. Like GameShark, a plug-in called Game Genie allows users to modify attributes of Sega games. Game Genie plugs into the system like a regular game cartridge and the game itself is connected to that.
Galoob, the makers of Game Genie, have released the following cheat codes for this
game:
Other cheat codes have been found. Galoob claims no responsibilty on the results of these codes:
